About

The "Continuous Deforming Landscape" is a ten minute solo with a group element that changes based on its production circumstances to include professionals or non-professional performers. A rope, a photograph, a taped square, and a pile of dirt mark the boundaries between image/ reality, space/ form, and site/ non-site/ body as landscape. Referencing earthworks and body art from the 60's and 70's, CDL brings together contemporary acrobatics and conceptual art performance. With connection between the real and impossible, the scene is a visceral look at journeying through the human experience. Developed while in residence at the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts, through the creative incubator Circus Sessions produced by Femmes de Feu, and showcased in the multi-disciplinary "Test Flights" series at PSCA.
