During this one week workshop, “Double Take - Cinematic Circus” will be offering their floor acrobatics/movement materclass called “From the Ground Up.”
“From the Ground Up” focuses on the concept of “seamless acrobatic level changing” mixed with creative movement. This concept explores your ability to move from the ground level all the way up to the jumping level and back down again while exploring all the levels in between consciously. This workshop is about moving outside of your comfort zone, whether it be exploring your more fluid/graceful side AND/OR exploring your more dynamic/acrobatic side. Either way, this workshop will touch on both aspects in an effort to merge the two harmoniously. Designed to teach you specific skills, “From the Ground Up” is also designed to give you “keys” that will help you to unlock your own creative potential wherein you will find your very own unique skills. Simply put, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” - Albert Einstein Any and all experienced movers are welcome (intermediate to advanced). Beginners are still welcome, however, only at the students discretion. Be ready to identify your limits and then be willing to go beyond them.
