Ensemble is an audition-based program. A video showcasing your camper’s skills and personality is the only audition requirement this year. Everyone is required to audition for this new and improved program. Who Should Apply: This session is for experienced circus artists ages 13 to 18 who have the desire to improve upon their existing circus skills and to learn new ones. Campers accepted into this program must possess the initiative and maturity to collaborate with their peers in creating a circus show and be capable of setting and working toward personal and group goals. How The Session Is Structured: In the first week and a half, campers will focus on their individual circus training during morning and afternoon classes, while the second week will be dedicated to creating and performing a group show. For the final performance, students will select, create, and participate in 2-3 acts as well as the opening or closing sequence. Campers in this program will enjoy afternoon and evening activities outside of the circus tents, in addition to two evenings per week participating in open tent time. This session will give campers challenging circus training and performing experiences, as well as allow them to enjoy traditional Smirkus Camp activities. The ensemble will perform their show for family and friends on the final day of the session. This show is themed, choreographed, and costumed.
