Hand to Hand Festival

FringeArts presents a two week festival of contemporary circus arts. Featuring performances in the theater, La Peg, and outside in the Haas Biergarten, Hand to Hand brings remarkable levels of artistry and ability together for a thrilling lineup of events—a circus festival perfect for the whole family. Performances and workshops include acrobatics, aerials, clowning, juggling, and everything in between. 

 May 29 and June 5th: Gravity & Other Myths

Seven acrobats push their physical limits without reserve in this award-winning work from Australian circus company Gravity & Other Myths. Supported by driving live percussion and presented so intimately that you can feel the heat, hear every breath, and be immersed in every moment, this performance is interactive and fun for all ages. May 30 and 31st: Circadium

Circadium presents a showcase of original works by first-year students. Expect a display of extraordinary physical talent, theatrical explorations, and a glimpse into the future of American contemporary circus. Recommended for ages 13+. Find out more about Circadium here.

June 1st: Test Flights

In this special circus edition of scratch night, jugglers, acrobats, and aerial artists impress with physical feats and incredible skills as they push the boundaries of what circus is and what it can say. The evening will feature four to six short performances, offering an inside look at the future of contemporary circus. Find out more about Test Flights here

June 7th: Circus Midway

Learn the arts of the circus at this day of free outdoor workshops! From basic aerial acrobatics to juggling, tight wire, and more. Free and fun for all ages and abilities! Find out more about Circus Midway here.

June 12th: Martha Graham Cracker Cabaret: Circus Spectacular

The world’s tallest and hairiest drag queen Martha Graham Cracker joins the Hand to Hand lineup for a special circus cabaret performance with her trusty band.
