3-Day International Physical Theatre Workshop “Dramaturgy of Physical Action”

Where: Brussels, Belgium
This international workshop is open to directors, choreographers, actors, dancers, contemporary circus performers and performance artists who are interested to study physicality in acting and to create physical theatre performances. Artists from other backgrounds interested in expanding their skills in physical theatre are also welcome to apply.
The program will include movement based on improvisation, concentration, contact and interaction, exploration of space and visual expressiveness. Through practical exercises with text and image, participants will learn basics about theatre biomechanics (V. Meyerhold), psychological gesture (M. Chekhov), internal and external physical action (Ostrenko Method), choreography and blocking on the stage.
