CINARS Appoints Gilles Doré As New Executive Director

On behalf of the International Performing Arts Conference (CINARS) Board of Directors, the respective chairman of the Board and CINARS founder, Nassib El-Husseini and Alain Paré, announced the nomination of Gilles Doré as the executive director of the organization as of March 1st.

With more than 30 years of experience in the performing arts field in Quebec and overseas, first as an actor, but most importantly as a cultural manager of small and big businesses, Doré has gained a lot of experience in international development and has a vision of the challenges in the performing arts industry from all over the world, especially the obstacles we’ve had to face over the past two years.

”I proudly welcome the position as general manager, humbly wishing to continue the work of Alain Paré, this visionary that knew how to export the performing arts internationally. New challenges have been put in our way. In order to ensure the path of cultural diversity in a context of global uncertainty, we must all stay tuned for new ways of doing things and otherwise adapt to new business models in a shaken-up environment in order to ensure the visibility of the artistic diversity in the world,” says Doré.

As an international development director at CINARS since June 2019, Doré has been involved in several development missions on different continents.  Moreover, as a speaker at various face-to-face and virtual events and congresses, he has participated in several strategic reflections and exchanges, and assisted general management during meetings with political and parapublic parties, both provincial and federal. He came up with the idea of the two virtual CINARS conferences in November 2020 and May 2021, in addition to developing the ‘’ CAP SUR WEBINAIRE ‘’ series, and is responsible for its project managers in Asia and India.

Gilles Doré’s Short resume:
> International development director at ARTS CIRCULATION from 2010 to 2019;
> Financial director of O VERTIGO DANSE from 2008 to 2010;
> Private consultant in cultural management for different organizations and cultural institutions from 2007 to 2008;
