CircusTalk is excited to announce that we will shortly be offering PRO membership – a new phase of our company that will allow us to cater to the circus professional’s needs by expanding the current features and offering new features for PRO subscribers.

You may wonder how this will affect your membership.

For us to continue this service, we created a freemium business model to cover basic operating costs as well as continued growth in providing features and tools for users. In contrast, we provide our users the option to choose between free and paid membership. All our current members will be assigned to the free BASIC membership level. BASIC membership will remain free, because we are dedicated to growing this user content-driven platform to help democratize information across all circus cultures. BASIC members can choose to switch to PRO membership that will include features such as an advanced search of our industry directory and act & show database; access to job-related information; contact information on profiles; direct messaging and PRO exclusive news content.

We kept in mind low income artist members who may not have the means to afford the PRO membership. That is why we kept the valuable profile feature free and allow users to create an act and show page for free with unlimited (unlike most casting networks) video and photo uploads in order to provide valuable exposure to employers for free. In the BASIC membership, we continue to provide essential tools and content for free. Please take a look at our membership level chart.

You may wonder why now? 

After building the platform for two and a half years, our content and membership have grown exponentially to reflect our efforts, and we have reached a turning point. A point where in order for us to continue to grow, we need the support of our members so that we can continue to build and improve this unique platform. Our growth and the positive feedback from the community has demonstrated a strong need for the services we provide, that is: making circus industry-related information accessible for everyone. When we created the price for the PRO membership, we considered our community’s means. The PRO monthly fee equals the amount that a member would pay for three coffees to-go in a month. For that price, we provide you access to job opportunities, job and industry-related articles, circus events, and training opportunities around the world.  

In our plans, there are features such as a better mobile experience, expanded PRO exclusive content in CircusTalk.News, rolling out new communication mediums such as podcasts, webinars, and even a CircusTalk Local feature, that enables local communities to share their local and regional information and news.
