Cirque du Soleil, the famed Montreal-based live entertainment company, on Tuesday said it will return to Chicago for the second time in less than six months with what is being billed as the group’s first-ever holiday-themed show titled “’Twas the Night Before …”
Cirque’s “Volta” tented show played a multi-week engagement in the Solider Field lakefront parking lot that ended in July.
The group’s new holiday show, which will run from Nov. 29 through Dec. 8 at the Chicago Theatre in the city’s Loop theater district, will be presented in conjunction with New York City-based Madison Square Garden Co. (NYSE: MSG). Under its own MSG Live banner, the company produces a range of sports and entertainment experiences in venues ranging from New York City’s Madison Square Garden to Radio City Music Hall to the Chicago Theatre, among others…
