Taipei, June 20 (CNA)This year, the festival Off Avignon and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival will each feature four performing arts groups from Taiwan that are set to give performances ranging from contemporary dance to circus shows.

The festival Off Avignon, which will run in France from July 7-27, is a prominent arts festival.

The four performing arts groups that made the cut include Formosa Circus Art, Lei Dance Theater, Hung Dance, and Kuo-shin Chuang Pangcah Dance Theater.

Lei Dance Theater will put on a dance piece titled “Flow,” which seeks to help the audience engage with their inner selves through a series of “metaphors and allusions,” while the Formosa Circus Art will stage a performance titled “Circus As Folks,” which delves into the minds of circus performers, and explores how they balance their onstage and offstage roles, according to statements by the groups provided to the Culture Ministry. … link to full length article at  length article at Focus Taiwan.
