Comedian Admire “Bhutisi” Kuzhangaira is coordinating an initiative dubbed “Clowns Against Covid-19” aimed at educating and informing young people living in marginalised communities on the pandemic.
The arts based social intervention campaign is courtesy of Tamba Africa Circus Caravan.
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the social circus has created a campaign which uses play therapy and circus humour to assist young children living in Mbare cope with the effects of the virus as well as providing hope and relief to the vulnerable adults such as the elderly.
In an interview, Bhutisi said he brings his comedy skills to the campaign and says they have created #StaySafe skits which are designed to be shared on WhatsApp consuming little data and are appropriate for all ages…
