Festival Spoffin 2023 Bringing Italian Art to Amersfoort
The 14th Festival Spoffin will take place from 25 to 27 August 2023 in Amersfoort, Netherlands. Keep reading to find out what you can expect to do and see at this edition.
The 14th edition of Festival Spoffin is coming to the streets of Amersfoort with an intense and diverse programme of 120+ performances presented by artists from more than 10 countries around the world. We invite outdoor arts professionals to appreciate the beauty and power of art in public space; discover new emerging talents, projects, and ideas; meet colleagues and friends; and be warmly received by the festival team.
Focus: Italy
This year Italian outdoor art is the focus of the festival. In partnership with the Federazione Nazionale Arti in Strada (FNAS) and the performing art alliance InterSpazi, Spoffin will present new Italian outdoor art by Circo in Rotta and Profundo Rosso (a world premiere!) as well as already acknowledged names, such as Teatro Necessario and Luigi Ciotta.
Spoffin IN
Spoffin IN, the festival’s main programme, will introduce the show “Go Figure” by Sharon Fridman (IL) to Europeans, as well as featuring “[ THE FRAME ]” by ElĂ©ctrico28 (ES), “(M)other” by Raimonda GudaviÄŤiĹ«tÄ— (LT), “Rizoma” by Rita Martins (PT), “Look Mum, No Hands!” by Mimbre (UK), and many more.
Spoffin OFF
Spoffin OFF will showcase the top ten productions by young emerging artists selected from 150 submissions from all over the world, including several brand new productions from Dutch outdoor companies like Collectief Dansblok, Company TiNaNiNaNi, Man in Pak Producties, and De Vliegende Koffer.
Spoffin PRO meeting
During the three days of the festival, Spoffin PRO will provide a beautiful and cozy space called @Filalethes for networking and peer meetings. Your voice and presence are of the utmost importance in our roundtable sessions and the Spoffin PITCH, where artists will present new projects and ideas. We invite you to join Spoffin PRO and enjoy freshly cooked lunches, dinners, and a final farewell party.
