Phare Circus Attempts World Record, Wins International Awards

CircusTalk would like to congratulate Phare Circus on setting the world record for longest circus performance, and winning 3 international awards in the process! At 24 hours, 10 minutes, and 30 seconds, the show was a truly impressive feat. They won a Gold Stevie in Innovation in events and Silver Stevie in Innovation in communications in the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards as well as the Gold award for special event at the Hermes Creative Awards.

The event was critical for raising much needed funds for Phare Circus. The social circus was forced to cease all performances due to the coronavirus, resulting in the loss of 60% of their annual operating budget. Phare Circus uses its platform to tell Cambodian stories and help troubled youth. Their training center gives its students an opportunity to earn a living wage while developing confidence and freedom.

Although Phare is being recognized for the early success of their 24 hour performance, Guiness still needs to thoroughly evaluate all video, photography, and witness statements before officially allocating Guiness World Record status. If confirmed, they are expected to receive even more awards. Phare Circus already holds 10 other Guiness World Records.
