Fossetts’ owners have slammed a Government move to limit the outlawing of the use of wild animals to circuses.
Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed announced in November that creatures such as elephants and tigers would no longer be permitted from next month.
While not opposed to a ban on wild animals coming into force from January – Fossetts has not had any since 2005 – but say the legislation is “hurtful and degrading to circuses as what they do is an art form”…
