Following the sold-out and extended run of their smash hit Hot Clown Sex: The Second Coming, the Hot Clown Company is thrilled to announce a new artistic residency with their longtime host venue the Newport Theater. The partnership will kick off in 2022 at the venue’s black box cabaret with the opening of Hot Clown Sex: Looking for a Third.

It all started in 2019, when Peyton Storz and Sadie Walton noticed a great divide between Chicago’s famous sketch, standup, and improv comedy community and their long-lost, distant relatives: the physical theater and clowning communities. Storz and Walton began to hold auditions for a show that sought to combine commedia dell’arte and physical clown training with sketch-writing and improv. The show’s theme would center around the eternally controversial topics of sexuality and dating. From those auditions, the ensemble was formed, and by now, with Executive Director Evan Richter on board, the Hot Clown Company has five shows under its belt. Hot Clown Sex: Looking for a Third is the third installment in a series of original cabarets that aims to disarm and celebrate the many awkward, messy, and hilarious expressions of sex and love.
