Focus On Australia – Young Artists Imagine The Future Of Circus

Freyja Wild (CIRCA, Circus OZ, The 7 Fingers)

Dylan Singh (Circus Oz, Casus, Company 2

Georgia Deguara (YUCK Circus)

Dylan Phillips (Time in Space Circus, Gravity & Other Myths)

Chaired by Steph Cox, this will be a visionary conversation around looking forward and envisioning what our circus sector could look like, and most importantly what we want it to look like. To have this conversation Steph has invited four of her fellow 30 or under year olds, from across the sector and across the country. It’s an opportunity to create space for the upcoming leaders, not just those on the panel but those watching to contribute their voice to shaping our community, our sector and the wider industry.

What is the aim of this panel? The aim is not to find the solutions, it’s about a step to creating a shared vision. The idea’s that may come up, may just plant a seed in our brains for when making our own future individual decisions or something may resonate that a person or group can champion into fruition or an organisation can foster – but the fact is change can’t happen without clear shared vision for a desired state, a desired future. So the question is what do we desire?
