For Aerial and Dance Competitors, the Sky’s the Limit at this Brand-New Festival

A new festival enters the scene in hopes of providing a state-of-the-art experience for acts and audiences alike. Learn more about the first Magic In Motion Aerial Arts Festival—and how, when, and where to take part in it.

Entering its inaugural year, the Magic In Motion Aerial Arts Festival enfolds both the circus and dance industries into a competition that helps its participants blossom. Magic in Motion strives to build an encouraging atmosphere that welcomes diversity and broadens artistic horizons through the exploration of creative movement and self-expression. Its mission is to allow competitors to deliver outstanding aerial technical acts and fundamental floor, dance, and acro techniques in today’s most cutting-edge performance styles.

Magic in Motion promises a creative, energy-packed competition in San Juan Capistrano, California, on a stage where artists from across the globe can showcase their amazing talents. The Magic in Motion team welcomes competitors of all ages, levels, and backgrounds to participate and takes pride in fostering their personal growth. The competition has been carefully designed to serve as a supportive outlet for each and every one of its performers, allowing them all to excel.

Studios, schools, and performers, as well as their families and friends, are invited to come and join the celebration later this winter. From January 20-23, 2023, the Magic in Motion team will be bringing circus and dance disciplines together on the same exciting stage, staffed by expert faculty with over 30 years of experience as top choreographers, coaches, directors, trainers, dancers, and talent agents direct from Southern California.

The Magic In Motion Aerial Arts Festival awards fabulous prizes, gift baskets, gift cards, and medals along with our “Judge’s Specialty Awards” and Specialty Sashes for the TOP overall division 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Studios, Schools, and Independent Athletes will each receive digital score sheets with the judge’s comments, along with videos from every judge. As well, ALL performers will receive recognition for their acts at the final awards ceremony.

Professional artists will have the opportunity to compete for the Magic In Motion Aerial Arts Festival championship title, possible agency contracts, entertainment representation, specialty judges awards, and sponsored cash prizes.
