Perth Fringe World: Fremantle-Born Circus Artist Chloe Shadlow Lands on Her Feet

Ten years ago, Fremantle-born circus artist Chloe Shadlow was recovering from a broken back after falling nine metres while performing in Japan.

Tonight, she will premiere her solo debut under the Freo Big Top as part of the 2021 Fringe World Festival.

The 45 minute autobiographical show – called The Fall, A Divorce and Peacocks – tells the story of Shadlow’s traumatic accident, recovery and rediscovery.

She said the CircusWA production was about “picking yourself up off the floor and getting back on your feet”.

“I don’t want to say that the play is purely cathartic because there’s also elements of fun and lightness in the show,” Shadlow said…
