Russia-China Circus Festival held in St. Petersburg
ST. PETERSBURG, April 30 (Xinhua) — The “Friendship” Russia-China Circus Festival ended on Saturday in St. Petersburg, the second largest city in Russia. This is the second consecutive year that St. Petersburg hosts this event.
Jointly organized by St. Petersburg’s radio station RADIO METRO, the China Cultural Center in St. Petersburg, and the Makarov Academy of Circus Art, the festival, which kicked off on Thursday, aimed to strengthen the cultural ties between Russia and China and promote circus art.
The event attracted a total of more than 600 children and teenagers from more than 40 circus groups in Russia and China to participate, including many former laureates of international circus awards. These groups performed various unique skills such as acrobatics, martial arts, aerial gymnastics, etc.
