Upcoming Works: Creation During COVID-19
At the beginning of the pandemic, it seemed we all experienced a collective creative block. Restrictions and social distancing not only physically stopped performers, but also made it difficult for artists to connect with their craft. Suddenly stuck at home, artists faced the challenge of creating in the face of unforeseen circumstances. Now, a year into COVID-19, it seems everyone has something to say — and they’re saying it with their art.
In spite of the lack of live shows, there are many circus projects being developed in 2021. These projects are a testament to all the hard work circus professionals have been doing in the past year, with all the added stress and considerations of a pandemic. We feel that the fact that productions are still being pitched, developed, and premiered during this time is something to celebrate. Here is a preview of a few works we love! If you’d like to have your trailer for your new show featured in Upcoming Works, message us.
