A heart allegory in black & white with
LISE PAUTON
directed by Sebastiano Toma "When is the end of waiting"? This could start the play.
But it is not spoken. Words would be too gentle for all that around her.
Is she waiting for someone in an abandoned house? Maybe on her husband?
Surely
he is a representative, a manager, or even a soldier? But what war are
we in? Or is it just the lost dream to itself? Nothing points to a
certain epoch. Neither the white curtains nor the few props have a
history or origin. What does it matter? We are in the very heart of a
woman who lives in a frozen uncertainty beyond normal emotions.
Outside,
the trains rattled across the tracks, while dogs like hyenas roared as
if there were no tomorrow. Order seems to be lost. The radio plays times
Zarah Leander and equal times Bartok or Cowboy Indian Bear. Thoughts
are deconstructed in movement sequences and sonicated with archaic
sounds, until the body naked and defenseless bends to fate and leaves
the field as an animal. The performer Lise Pauton combines philosophical
aspects with her dance and her contortion to ever new destinies and new
sensations. In a time of post-factual truth, it opposes this and armed
itself to create peace. Alone against the world. The heart must wait and
stand still under the metallic armor, which replaces the little black.
No little matche girl , but a woman beyond good and evil. [less]
