Celebrating Black Creators continues on the Live Like An Acrobat Podcast with special guest Kiebpoli Calnek. They are a transmasculine, non-binary, queer Black creative, director, and writer, and they’ve taught Kiebpoli’s Aerial Class for over a decade. Their performance production enterprise, Black*Acrobat, organically sprouted from wanting to see more Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) in circus and the Performing Arts world.
Black*Acrobat shares stories of, for, and with fringe communities, celebrating authentic visions and viewpoints through research, access, and collaboration.
Kiebpoli has been covered in Essence and contributed “How It Feels… To Be An Aerial Acrobat” to Oprah Winfrey’s O Magazine.
