RoguePlay Theatre are seeking an experienced MALE trapeze artist with strong physical theatre ability to assume the role of 'Boss' in a live aerial performance to accompany a screening of silent film "Variety" as part of Flatpack Festival 2018 where performers will echo elements of the on-screen action.
Taking place at Birmingham's West Midlands Creation Centre on Friday April 20th, the event seeks to bring this iconic circus film to life by recreating elements live in front of the audience.
In order to represent the character of 'Boss' opposite his female counterpart you should have strong ability in basing and be competent in static trapeze and ideally ground-based acrobalance. The piece will be rehearsed over 4 half days (2 – 6 pm) on April 9th – 12th and 16th – 18th . The performance will take place on the evening of April 20th. You will be required for final / technical rehearsals during the afternoon.
There is a fee of £350 which covers the 4 days rehearsal and 1 performance.
