About

The ancient artform of Hand Shadows is brought right up to the minute with skilful
tributes to 20th Century film-making, a rogues gallery of famous personalities, rabbits
doing what rabbits do and many more endearing and down-right astonishing creatures
created with the twist of a hand. Stand-up comedy meets shadow puppetry before Drew
sings a duet with his own shadow to bring the house down.

"Here is a performer at the top of his game, who has a fertile imagination and
meticulously crafted technique. He seems to have more than two hands as he creates
birds which morph into swans which become something entirely new." - Pamela Hall,
The Croydon Citizen

“Drew Colby's hand shadowgraphy was entrancing and like nothing I’ve seen before. It
had me watching with true awe.” - Alicia Britt, Animations Online

“The audience couldn’t help but clap their hands with delight after each animal left
the scene. Shadow puppetry at its best.” – Chelsey Stuyt, Bristol Theatre Review
