FRESH STREET - International Seminar for the Development of Street Arts - comes back for a fourth edition themed "The Space in Between" and co-organised with FNAS!
The passage from the last edition of FRESH STREET was supposed to be a journey from the enhancement of identity to the transversality of our natures. Covid-19 has not gone beyond the theme, but has shown more than before, the fragility of the foundations on which our international and global dimension is based. Have we lost our identities and places? Or do we need it more than before? Or is this an opportunity to overcome these tired notions and return to nature, humanity and inclusiveness of the international communities? The network paradigm we knew has deeply changed, as well as the vision of the connection between people, the relationship with the public space, the projection of ourselves as artists, programmers, cultural professionals at large in the international circuit etc. The physical distancing has created a communicative breakdown, an attack on the sense of community and an often latent emotional distancing whose effects have yet to fully emerge. If this transit is a sort of reconstruction, then arts in the public space have acquired a main role on processes of cohesion and well-being of the communities. That space in between becomes therefore the opportunity to investigate the social role of arts and the direction of the gaze. Creative, expressive and communicative urgency did not stop, quickly adapted and heads straight for a new investigation center: is the world in which we were used to live in, still the world in which we want to return to? Join us for this unique edition, which will feature a rich and exciting programme: debates, thematic sessions, artistic projects presentations, projects in the public space, and many other surprises that we will let you discover online!
