Galway City Museum - Zany Circus / An Sorcas Craiceáilte expired Free |
The first circus took place in 1768 when Philip Astley drew out a ring on an abandoned patch of land in London’s Waterloo and presented a series of astounding physical acts – bareback riders, jugglers, acrobats, clowns, and strong men. To mark the 250th anniversary, join professional circus skills performer Stephen McGinley to learn some traditional circus skills in this bi-lingual workshop.
