During the lockdown our team based in Cheshire have worked hard to formulate new measures alongside the government body the DCMS to ensure we develop and bring in new measures at our events to keep us Covid Compliant, our events team have designed a new template for our audiences introducing social distancing, reduced capacity and extra measures that will help to keep our visitors enjoying our world class productions,

The Gandey family firmly believe we have done everything in our power to ensure the safest possible environment for you and your family to once again experience the thrill of world class live entertainment.

Covid Protocols:
Gandey’s Circus was the first circus to decide to close earlier this year prior to government directive to do so. We were also the first to reopen in July at Butlins following strict new covid protocols and regulations which the Gandeys team worked on to advise the U.K. government body the D.C.M.S.
Tests on airflow and ventilation were also carried out and enabled circus productions to reopen ahead of indoor venues as we are classed as an outdoor event.
During the lockdown our whole team in Cheshire have worked incredibly hard and have helped to advise the UK Government body , the Department of Culture Media and Sport , to assist both outdoor events and theatres to reopen with new guidelines in place through the CPA.
Our events team have helped to formulate the new government approved measures to present outdoor events, including circus productions, that are being used as a new standard for venues and performances across the country, this will ensure we keep everyone involved safe, pilot schemes and air flow tests have been taking place at our three big top venues at Butlins resorts since June and the results fed back to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport to continue to support live entertainment reopening in the UK safely.
These new measures taken to present our circus will ensure we keep you and your family safe using a new template for our audiences introducing social distancing, reduced capacity and extra measures that will help to keep all our visitors protected whilst enjoying our world class shows,
We have the capacity reduced from 1000 plus to below 400 and you will be seated socially distanced in pods of 6 persons with a one way system in place, all details are on our website www.gandeyscircus.com


The strict new measures and guidelines that are now in place are listed below

*Seating capacity reduced from 1000 to 400
*Ventilated big top.
*1m plus social distancing on seating.
*Family groups or social pods separated from other groups.
*2m social distancing enforced in all public areas.
*One-way systems in place throughout big top and foyer.
*5 exit points to avoid queuing
*Individual socially distanced toilets with queuing system.
*Hand sanitisers available throughout big top and foyer.
*Temperature checks on arrival.
* Cleaning of venue after each performance.
*All artistes isolated in a pod to enable them to perform without social distancing.
*No interaction between performers and audience.
*Advance booking advised. Tickets available on the door subject to availability.
*Contactless card facilities in use (cash will be accepted)
*Contact details of 1 person from a group taken in line with Government track and trace guidelines.
*The wearing of masks will be in line with government guidance on the day of you visit
