21st CINARS Biennale’s Call for Applications is Now Open

CINARS is announcing the commencement of applications for their official 2024 programming! They invite you to submit your application now for the chance to showcase your work as part of the 21st CINARS Biennale (International Conference of Performing Arts), scheduled to take place in Montreal from November 11 to 16, 2024.

The CINARS Biennale is one of the most prominent performing arts conferences that brings together professionals, artists, presenters, producers, and other stakeholders in the performing arts industry from around the globe. The primary focus of CINARS is to promote and facilitate the exchange of ideas, networking, and collaboration within the international performing arts community.

The CINARS Biennale typically features a diverse program of performances, showcases, workshops, conferences, and networking events. It provides a platform for artists and companies to present their work to an international audience, seek potential collaborators, and discuss current trends and challenges in the performing arts world.

Attendees at the CINARS Biennale include artists, agents, artistic directors, festival organizers, venue managers, and professionals from various fields related to the performing arts. It is a vital hub for fostering connections, discovering new talent, and promoting cultural exchange within the global performing arts community.

The official programming for CINARS BIENNALE 2024 will feature full-length showcases, with a maximum duration of 90 minutes, encompassing dance, theatre, circus, and interdisciplinary arts. Additionally, there will be excerpted showcases of 25 minutes dedicated to music.

CINARS’ Call for Applications is extended to artists and companies from all corners of the globe.

There is a non-refundable processing fee associated with each submission:
Early bird rate available until October 6, 2023 (11:59 pm Montreal time): CAD $95 (taxes included)
Regular rate available until November 11, 2023 (11:59 pm Montreal time): CAD $130 (taxes included)

On Tuesday, October 3rd CINARS will provide an upcoming Zoom info session for interested artists and companies both in French and English.
12:00 p.m. EDT – for the French session
1:30 p.m. EDT – for the English session

During this session, CINARS representatives will provide an overview of the CINARS Biennale and walk artists and companies through the various steps to present a show and complete a registration.

The 2022 CINARS Biennale brought together over 1,227 participants from 51 countries, who, over the course of a week, experienced more than 198 performances from Canada and around the world and engaged in workshops, conferences, and networking opportunities.
