The historic city of Vicenza, graced with the architectural masterpieces of Andrea Palladio and recognized on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, will set the stage for the eighth edition of the NID_New Italian Dance Platform from October 9th to 12th, 2024.

Supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture’s Directorate General for Performing Arts, the Veneto Region, and the Municipality of Vicenza, with the Municipal Theatre of Vicenza Foundation as the lead partner and organizer, alongside Arteven – Circuito Multidisciplinare del Veneto (Multidisciplinary Circuit of Veneto), the event promises a celebration of dance and artistic expression.

Under the theme “Get Back to Dance,” the 2024 edition of NID_New Italian Dance Platform focuses on the revitalization of choreutic language, placing the body and harmonious movements at the forefront of artistic endeavors presented by emerging talents.

The program will unfold through two main sections: Performances and Open Studios, offering a comprehensive glimpse into the landscape of Italian dance. From established works to experimental projects, the platform will showcase a spectrum of artistic visions, welcoming both public audiences and industry professionals to engage with the performances and participate in various side events, meetings, and networking opportunities.

As anticipation builds for the event, the full program will be unveiled in June 2024 on the official website www.nidplatform.it. Prospective participants can mark their calendars as the call for sign-ups opens online from Wednesday, March 6th, at 12 pm, running until Monday, May 6th, 2024, at 11:45 pm.
