Unveiling TOHU’s Circus Arts Leadership: Aaron Marquise as Deputy Director and Julia Sanchez as MICC Coordinator

La TOHU is pleased to announce the promotion of Aaron Marquise to the position of Deputy Director of Circus Arts Programming and Development at La TOHU.

A graduate of the École nationale de cirque, Aaron has acquired a wide range of experience with renowned companies such as Les 7 doigts, Disney Theatrical Group, Circus Monti, and GOP Varieté. His remarkable career also includes founding the CCIAC in Troy, NY, and initiating the International Circus Awards. In 2021, Aaron joined TOHU as Coordinator of the International Market for Contemporary Circus (MICC), contributing significantly to its recent successes.

In his new role, Aaron will play a key role in supporting Executive and Programming Director Stéphane Lavoie in the strategic planning and execution of circus programming. His focus will be on fostering the development of the circus arts discipline and federating the Quebec circus community. Aaron will also cultivate strong collaborations with presenters to ensure TOHU’s continued presence and impact.

With his vast experience and unwavering passion for the circus arts, we are confident that Aaron will excel in this new position. His dedication and expertise will undoubtedly contribute to TOHU’s continued success and strengthen our commitment to the dynamic world of circus arts.

La TOHU is also pleased to announce that Julia Sanchez will assume the position of MICC Coordinator, succeeding Aaron Marquise.

Julia, an experienced circus artist, has been an integral part of the MICC for many years, notably as initiator of relations with Latin America. Her in-depth knowledge of the circus community and her dedication to TOHU’s mission make her the ideal candidate for this position.
