As it’s director, Marc Fouilland likes to call it “le rendez-vous du cirque actuel” which I will translate to ‘The summit on current circus.’ So I left behind the Great Michigan Lake shore rides, Andrew Bird and the inimitable American enthusiasm for roundabouts, exchanging it for Bobby Lapointe and the inimitable charisma of the south of France to visit the Festival.
