This Week: Comical Kallo Collective & Cirko Festival

When the Nordic countries have finally thawed out every May, circus artists from around the globe gather in Helsinki to attend and perform at Cirko Festival. This year the festival takes place from May 12th until the 21st and boasts performances from Finland’s own Kallo Collective as well as a host of shows by other Finnish companies.
I recently had the pleasure to interview both Cirko’s new director Riku Lievonen about the highlights of the festivities, and the festival’s own funny darlings, Kallo Collective on the world premier of their new show Chameleon.
