Fédération Mondiale du Cirque Announces the 12th World Circus Day
The Fédération Mondiale du Cirque has recently announced the 12th World Circus Day, to be held on Saturday, April 16th, 2022. The Federation is expecting participants from over 50 countries.
In a statement last week, Fédération President Urs Pilz and Executive Director Zsuzsanna Mata announced: “The Fédération Mondiale du Cirque, under the Honorary Presidency of H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, initiated the celebration of World Circus Day right after the organization was founded. The world-wide circus community has recognized the third Saturday of each April as the international day of circus arts. It is the most important common feast of the global circus community. World Circus Day has become already an important tradition, and its 12th edition is celebrated under very special circumstances. In 2022, World Circus Day is now needed more than ever. It is an opportunity to express our faith in peace, solidarity, collaboration, and unity. It is an opportunity to show the world that together we are stronger.
