On this episode of the Live Like An Acrobat podcast, host Shenea Stiletto interviews Kara Jenkins, who is currently running for Mayor of Las Vegas. If elected, Kara Jenkins would become the first ever Black woman elected as Mayor. Kara has been a public servant of the state of Nevada for over 10 years, and she proudly serves as the Administrator to the Nevada Equal Rights Commission. As a candidate for Mayor, Kara Jenkins will respect the public health of our community while supporting all Nevadans, from essential workers, long-time residents, those who have come here to restart or realize their goals, to business owners, Circus Workers, animal lovers, and our most vulnerable.

Her career includes a decade of collaborations with Cirque Du Soleil including the coveted hand balancing role as "The Promise" in Varekai, becoming the first-ever African American female soloist to play a lead character in a Cirque Du Soleil production.
Shenea was also a finalist on America’s Got Talent and has continued to be a featured artist with prominent circus entertainment companies worldwide.
